Established in 1990, Schell Consulting provides services to the public and private educational institutions. Doctors John and Barbara Schell are the owners and principal consultants. The Schells specialize in the areas of clinical and professional reasoning, situated congnition theories, and implications for Teaching. Schell Consulting will expand in the near future to provide Environmental Education Services for teachers and other professionals.

Environmental Education Services
John is nearing retirement age. In the next few years he will be completing a transition into part-time university teaching and environmental education programs. During the Spring and Summer of 2008, he and colleagues will be creating a not-for-profit organization that will be known as the Whale Education Society (WES). WES will provide: (a) public and private school teachers with free environment education instructional materials, (b) public and private school teachers with professional development opportunities to learn about contextual learning and teaching, (c) summer internships for college students interested in a career as a naturalist, teacher, or marine scientist, (d) international training for whale watching naturalists. Other services will likely include the creation of environmental justice projects.
